Event Description:
The Morrison Garden Club needs 4 volunteers for our annual plant sale at Odell Library (Community Room) on Saturday, May 16th.
What you’ll do - Help customers carry purchases to their cars. - Keep walkways clear and floors swept/mopped during the sale. - Move plants and condense tables as stock thins, following directions from assigned club members. - Be paired with one club member for guidance throughout the event. - Stay after the sale (ends at 1:00 PM) to carry remaining plants outside, fold and reset tables, remove signs, and finish a final sweep, mop, and cleanup checklist.
Why your help matters - The first two hours are especially busy; extra hands make checkout smooth and reduce congestion. - Efficient clean-up gets the room ready for library use and shows appreciation for the space.
Logistics - Date: Saturday, May 16th - Location: Odell Library, Community Room - Shift: Help needed during the sale and for clean-up after 1:00 PM (exact end time depends on tasks). - Dress: Comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty; gloves available if you prefer.
If you can’t commit to the whole event, indicate the hours you’re available directly by text to Sharon at the number posted below upon sign up—partial shifts are welcome.

Special Notes:
Please wear casual clothes and comfortable shoes. If rain is forecast, bring a raincoat—as you’ll be helping customers carry purchases to their vehicles. Water and snacks will be provided, and breaks are allowed during slower periods; cell phones may be used only during breaks. A sign-in/out sheet will be available for Impact program volunteers—please complete it so your hours are recorded. Finally, review the student expectations posted on the website before your shift.
