Event Description:
During the Christmas Walk event, we offer our visitors the opportunity to take self-guided tours to enjoy the home and holiday decor at their leisure. To enhance this experience, we station volunteers in rooms and parlors to relay interesting details about the property, the collection pieces, and Dillon family history. These pre-scripted details can be read in as little as 2-3 minutes and do not require rehearsal. ***This request is 2 of 3 for our three-day Christmas Walk event December, 12th-14th***
Special Notes:
-Volunteers are an extension of the museum and conduct themselves in a professional manor. -Business casual attire is required and holiday festive is encouraged, but optional. -Water and hot coco will be provided. DROP OFF/PICK UP LOCATION: Tour Entry Porch-Located on the NE corner of the home, just off the roundabout, and is accessible via the "Employee Entrance"/driveway gate on 11th Avenue. ALL DRIVERS: Utilize the museum parking lot (aka Martin's Landing) located off Broadway Avenue, on the west side of the property. The entry gate to the grounds is located on 3st Street. *Additional parking is available on the east side of the property along 11th Avenue, with the option to walk in through the "Employee Entrance"/driveway gate.
