Event Description:
We will be having a series of free summer programs at the Sawmill Museum for children in ages 2nd-5th. The education volunteer will help direct children, hand out materials, and help with crafts and activities. Students that sign up for this volunteer opportunity should be comfortable working with a variety of diverse children, standing on their feet for the long lengths of time, and interacting with 20-40 people at the programs.
Previous experience with helping children in an educational manner is preferred for this volunteer opportunity (E.g. teaching swim lesson at a local YMCA, coaching kid's sports, being a counselor at a summer camp, etc.)
Special Notes:
Comfortable shoes and comfortable attire that you can stand, sit, bend down, etc. in as you help kids.
