Event Description:
The Next Picture Show closes out its 2026 exhibition season with a brand-new exhibition, Small But Mighty, a juried show celebrating artwork that proves size has little to do with presence.
Featuring small-scale 2D and 3D works, the exhibition brings together painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, digital art, and more. With no required theme or subject, visitors can expect an eclectic mix of realistic, abstract, and unexpected work—all created within a compact format.
The Opening Reception and awards ceremony are Friday, Nov. 20, from 6-8 p.m. We will need Impact volunteers to set up the gallery for seating before the event and then break it down after.
Students need to come to the gallery by 4:30 for set up. They can stay and enjoy the reception or leave and come back by 7:45 to start taking down chairs, etc.
Special Notes:
No sweatpants, but jeans and sweaters are fine.
