Event Description:
Our team of volunteers is organizing an Arbor Day Event at St Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon after school on Arbor Day, TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 4:00 - 6:00pm. The first 50 participants will receive a free tree seedling to take home to plant. We need Impact volunteers to help set up, assist other volunteers at 5 interactive-educational booths. Each booth highlights 1 of the many benefits of trees (i.e. trees provide nourishment, energy, healthy environment, shelter...) We'll also need volunteers to help with the S'mores table, passing out free trees, lead a few games and activities and clean-up following the event. This is an outdoor event. Indoor restrooms are available. (This event was originally scheduled for April 26.)
Special Notes:
Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather. This is an outdoor event.
